Staffed full-time by a mere five members, His Hands Church in Woodstock, Georgia, welcomes more than 1,500 attendees a week. A nondenominational facility founded in 2005 by Susan and Steve Craig, His Hands Church extends regular financial support to local nonprofit organizations and ministries, such as Papa’s Pantry.

 

Papa’s Pantry is a Georgia-based Christian assistance program that provides families and individuals with access to food, from nonperishables to fresher staples, such as milk, meat, and produce. Since its inception almost 15 years ago, Papa’s Pantry has worked with thousands of families—offering food assistance, coaching, bible studies, and tutoring—to help them regain stability and self-reliance. During peak times in the winter, the organization assists anywhere from 50 to 60 families a week through customized plans.
